Puppies we are expecting and planning…  some availability.

This page showcases the pairings we’ve done or are planning, so you can see if there is a special one that interests you for your own Cobberdog puppy. Remember that our plans may change, for many and varied reasons, but we think our pups are worth the wait! 

At Ridgy Didge we have to plan ahead and it can be tricky! Our girls only have 2 litters, and they live with their guardian families. Cycles can be changeable, pregnancy might not eventuate, and sometimes dogs don’t continue to the breeding program because they did not meet our strict health and genetic screening standards.  We are committed to this health and genetic screening and very careful pairing to ensure every RD puppy has the best chance of a long healthy life with no inherited diseases.  You can see the health profiles of each of our breeding dogs on their feature page.

We encourage all puppy buyers to research extensively to ensure your chosen puppy has had all the health screening and genetic testing that we practice and recommend at Ridgy Didge.

March Litters

This breeding will bring new bloodlines and we thank Karra Creek for Fox genetics. Pups will be colours of brown, brown & white, black & black & white. Pups will have lovely low density non shedding coats with both parents having no undercoat. Temperaments will be sweet and confident. At present (January) there is still availability in this litter. Pups will be ready to go home mid May.

May Litters

This will really be a lovely litter with hopefully some red pups. Our pups from our previous Eadie/ Barney litter were lovely, scroll back and see their pups on FB. Eadie is due in season in March, so pups would be ready to come home mid July. Presently this litter is fully booked. The only availability will be if Eadie has more pups than we anticipate and we will post on our FB page any availability at the time of birth. Eadie had nine pups in her first litter and has had a 12month break since having them. All pups will have low to non shedding fleece coats.

June Litters

Our breeding dogs have only two litters and this will be Nala’s second and final litter. She lives with her guardian family where she is valued and loved. Her first litter were exceptional with calm mellow temperaments. We have not yet decided who to mate her with but we guarantee it will be a dog worthy to carry on this beautiful line. Once bred it is 4 months till pups are ready to come home.

August Litters

Zara has the most beautiful friendly temperament, she comes from five generations of our dogs with the same cool calm temperament. So combined with Cody we expect some lovely pups suitable for therapy or assistance work. Colours will be golds and browns all with lovely low to non shedding fleece coats. Zara’s last breeding was not successful & we think it was due to the loss of one of her valued family members. Watch our FB page for news on her cycle due May/ June
